What has been the biggest accomplishment in your career?
Founding one of the world’s first Internet Banks.
What motivates you?
Solving interesting problems – I am better at solving problems and developing new products than daily operations.
What are some of your favorite tools and resources for your work?
I love to read both online and offline. I look for interesting ideas and strategies that can either increase the sales of our current products or generate an idea for a new business.
How do you stay ahead of the competition?
By recruiting great people and making sure our interests are aligned.
Which business leaders, past or present, have inspired you the most?
I love Ronald Regan. An interesting character with great common sense. He enjoyed life and never overcomplicated anything.
Being a Managing Partner, how do you relax?
Yoga, Spin, Paddle Boarding, Wake Boarding, running and get aggravated playing golf.
Can you give some advice to those interested in becoming a Managing Partner?
Develop relationships with great people and join their team.
What is one of the most interesting experiences you've had in your life?
Watching my three sons grow up into three completely different individuals. One lives in Abu Dhabi and is interested in politics, one is a Rancher in Florida and is interested in farming, and the youngest is a computer scientist. I often wonder how that happened.
What is the next step for you?
I would like to develop a national consumer brand with a sense of humor. Or, open a candy shop.
