Has the recession in the present market affected your industry? How? 

Yes, please. Plant expansions activity and several projects have been either postponed or shelved out & thus demand have been affected. Customers or investors are adopting ‘wait & watch policy’.

Do Govt. Policies influence the growth of your Rubber & Engineering Manufacturing Industry? Yes, please. Excise duty rate increase or reduction & exemption waiver together with sales tax. Complicated procedures hinder growth. Higher electricity tariffs together with poor electric supply & Improper Labour laws adversely affect production.

Do you have facility to provide 3rd Party Inspections if desired by buyers?

Though Test Certificate of our Lab, wherever applicable, are forwarded along-with the supply in HIC’s modern in-house testing facility. However, are fully geared up to offer Third Party Inspections by DNV, EIL, RITES, etc. as well.

Any other point you would like to make? 

Lot of export potential exists. But higher input costs viz. electricity & fuel, unfavorable labor environment, unfavorable export incentives coerce to tap huge exports in competition with China, Taiwan, etc. Govt. should provide incentives for achieving higher production, employing more labor in the interest of upliftment of country & the entrepreneur and are hopeful to look forward to Govt.’s positive approach in this direction.
